Sanivation

Sanivation is a waste-to-fuel sanitation company working to improve the overall dignity, health, and environment of urbanizing communities in East Africa.

The improper treatment and disposal of non-sewered faecal waste is a major hazardous threat to urban and urbanizing communities in developing countries. Improper handling and disposal leads to pollution of soils, surface water and ground water, threatening the health of entire communities and natural ecosystems. Sanivation leverages a low-cost treatment process to turn this waste into a high-quality fuel source and a residue that can be disposed of safely. Working in partnership with county governments, Sanivation contributes to making the entire WASH infrastructure better.
